Happy Memorial Day

I've been listening to too much talk radio lately... You all know the current issues that are being discussed now. It's unfortunate that, even from the president down, there seems to be little regard for America anymore. I could get up on my soapbox and write an essay but it comes down to this: I love America!

I love my country.

Along with that I love my Church that spends 3 hours singing patriotic songs and talking about, the discovery of America, our founding fathers, and those that dedicated their lives to insure our freedom.

Picture Time

While Sam was getting ready we took some time to take some pictures
Max looked so handsome we had to get his picture
I had fun finding interesting places to take the snapshot... this was actually taken in Sharon's bathroom :)
The girls looking so beautiful. Sharon made the twin's dresses and bought one for K to match the other little "flower girls"
My kids looked so beautiful by the columns
Kelsey loved her corsage but still picked some more
Jace was very good - passed around so that I could play gopher
Grandma & Grandpa looking good!
The cake. You can't even tell it's not real :)

Sharon, David & Sam posing for pictures. Sharon always gives me a hard time for taking so many pictures so I tried to hold back a bit (it helped too, knowing they had such a great photographer that will give them all his pictures)

After seeing all the shots and videos I got for her, Sharon has promised not to mock me anymore about being paparazzi.

Sam & Jordan's Wedding

We had the kids wait outside (they were supposed to stay in the visitors' center but...) Poor Kelsey was melting, "Mom, I want to snuggle you." I'm so glad mom got a picture with the photographer, she really admires his work. Last time she was in Arizona she bought his LDS books and movies. He doesn't normally do weddings but since he's a friend... I'll have to post some of his photos of them later and you'll definitely see what I mean
This is just Sam's side of the family.
There were a bunch of wedding that day so we had to hurry. Luckily Sam & Jordan had met with the photographer earlier and did their photo shoot (I'm just sad that we never did get a picture with all of the little flower girls.)
Kelsey and Chad... I but Sharon & David never thought their daughter would grow up so fast either...
Dad got a picture of the Temple President that performed the ceremony. He was another neighbor that grew up with Sam & Jordan's parents on the same street.

Sam & Jordan's Reception

Kelsey's Birthday

WE had a fun pool party for Kelsey this year
and princesses - of course
I didn't do the cake for Kelsey - just added some princess to the one I bought
Even though K is now 4 I still catch myself saying she's 3 - she's getting older way too fast!
anticipation

Make a wish!
I always use the relighting ones when we're outside - not to tease the birthday kid but because that's the only way they stay lit in the wind (and it gives me enough chances to get a good shoot :)
Kayla, Kelsey & Kayley admiring the gifts

Cousins, Kelsey, Karissa & Kayley (no, we didn't pre-plan the aliteration, we just got lucky :)

Kelsey is so lucky to have such good friends, form neighbors, church and family.

I Love My Family!

I have had such a blast lately spending time with our families. Last week we went to Linnae's graduation and Ellie's 1st Communion. Then this weekend we were at my niece's wedding (both Ellie and Sam are the oldest on each family :)
It's late and I still need to post some pictures for each event but I wanted to take a quick minute and say how much I love my family! They are all so beautiful and talented, from the oldest - Grandpa-Great - to the youngest - Jason, and all those (too many to count right now) in between.
I look forward to many more happy events in our future.

Ellie's First Communion

Ellie and her family
Ellie still tried to smile for the picture, even though Jace had a tight handful of her hair - and pulling hard!
Ellie with Collin & Kelsey

We finally got to wear our Easter clothes :)
All the girl cousins always match so I got my boys matching, instead
They were all so tempted to go swimming but they were good and only put their feet in the water
Chad is so good about taking care of the baby so I can go be paparazzi

Linnae, Class of 2010

Congratulations, Linnae. Today she received her degree in Psychology...
Kelsey, Jason and I walked to the ceremony (Ok, I walked, they sat in the stroller)
Afterwards we had a fun party at Tiana's house...
Of course I took tons of pictures that I'll post on our family blog (blogs are like the slide shows of the past - pretty much just fun for the person who took them.)
The boys playing airplane - Collin was trying to convince me that Jason liked it - I think the picture proves it.
I would be more witty and wordy but I'm sore, tired and sunburned - the usual graduation survivor symptoms - but I wanted to post these today :)
