Park Day

For the end of school celebration we had a family fun day at the park. I was trying to keep track of Kelsey at the play ground but still keep an eye on Collin - I noticed him over on the grass playing with about 4 girls - that's m'boy!Kelsey has a great time on the slide

I can't believe another year is over. I'm really looking forward to not having to get Collin up for school every day but I know I'm going to miss having him entertained everyday... it's always a trade off. And it's weird to think that by the time he's back to school he'll have a baby brother!

Happy Birthday Karissa & Addi

We celebrated Cousin Addi & Karissa's birthday with themAddi was nice enough to let sister Karissa blow out all the candles
The birthday girl
I admit I have a bit of a concern about pinatas... they put your favorite characters on something then give you a stick to beat it until it's guts fall out - maybe it's just me...
Collin was a sport - he was the only one that tried it with a blind fold on :)
While everyone was in eating the cousins came out to let Addi bounce in the castle - she loved it!
Best Buddies! Collin & Ellie are the oldest cousins (locally) and have fun playing with each other and taking care of the little ones too.

Field Trip: Pony Farm

I was very tempted to not go on this field trip - sore, tired blah blah blah - but then I thought, "What's the use of being a stay-home-mom if you can't go to every single field trip. So here I am at another field trip (they seemed to save them all for the last few weeks of school)

Collin has fallen in love with little chicks - so of course now he's asking for a baby chicken - I'm sure my neighbors (who live about 2 feet from me) would love that :)

I got Collin to take a picture of me - kind of
Got Milk?
Or in this case, Ice Cream made from goat milk.
I love you, too!
Collin and some of his classmates. Collin always complains that he has no friends at school but I've not seen any evidence of this...

Collin's Birthday at Disneyland

I decided to save myself some energy we drove down to Disneyland Sunday night and spent the night (instead of driving for 2 hours and then walking for 12 hours) I slept OK but I had the excitement/anticipation thing so I didn't sleep as deep as usual. Luckily Collin didn't have the same problem.
Collin got an early morning wake up call from Betsy. I had it on speaker so I could hear too. She said she wanted to be the first to call him on his birthday. He disagreed and said that she was the second - that grandma had already called (???) So when he finished I asked him who called - which grandma - just in case he was getting special cell phone calls from beyond the veil. He looked at me weird and said he only had one grandma and she called him. I laughed and told him that Betsy was the only one to call so far :) Silly kid!
Happy Birthday, Collin!
We always have to try to do something different each time (which gets to be tough when you go every month) This time we started right off with a trolley ride.
We made it!

We also tried to copy as many of the 'picturesque spots' that we could find - you'll see more of these you go along.
Tiki Room
Collin's favorite thing was that we were able to ride in the front of the monorail - both on the way to lunch and back
He loved it - but thought it was a little scary too :P
For a special birthday treat we went to Downtown Disney for lunch at Rainforest Cafe
Collin wanted to eat by the aquarium. I tried to get a video of his happy fish dance but he caught me and stopped in time

Collin always makes instant friends - we met this girl on the train on our way to Small World. Notice at the beginning of the ride they are sitting in the middle - by the time the ride was over Collin was nearly sitting on the edge of the boat and she kept scooting closer - and closer!
Collin by the castle
Here, finally is a picture of mom - at 30 weeks - can you believe I'm still going to Disneyland so much!
Waiting for Buzz Lightyear. It didn't seem quite so busy this time but the lines were so long - I'm also spoiled because I usually go in the winter when you can complain about a 20 minute wait...
Collin scored - since we have a passport already he got a $60 gift card instead. He ended up with 3 new webkinz - two he bought and one he talked our Costa Rican cast member to buy for him. We called Manuel in the morning to see if he was working so we could say hi. He was off but he met us for dinner and road a few rides with us - and even got Collin a present - I always said the cast members at Disneyland are the nicest around, but he definitely went the second mile.

Collin's Pre-Birthday

Collin's early morning birthday present ( when I bought it (at the $.99 store - what a score) I didn't notice it was a birthday pet :)
Collin wanted a Pokemon birthday. I thought that would be easy-peasy but who knew Pokemon was so five minutes ago - there was no Pokemon party stuff anywhere! Luckily I had already planned out how I was going to make the cake - the benefits of insomnia...
We played a few games with the friends.
Collin loved all his presents - thanks!
Eric was awesome and hosted movie night again. Here we are in a drought but of course it had to rain today so I wasn't sure if we could do it. Though it cleared up we were still concerned for another shower on the equipment. Eric solved this problem - he set up the movie in his garage (the screen is so big it just barely fit!) Not many people came - probably due to the rain (and the lack of notice by prego-mom) but we'll have more movie nights on Friday and Saturday - just ask or let me know if you want me to contact you when we do it...

The Last Time, Really

Ok, I know last week I was wondering if I would be able to make it to Disneyland for Collin's birthday and now here I am at Disneyland one more time to see the night shows that just started this week...
Chad & Kelsey waiting in line... which were much longer than I'm used to - can't wait for fall when all those pesky tourists go back home and leave the park to us locals :)We took turns waiting in line and going for walk-aboutsWe let Kelsey dance by the castle then we let Betsy & Collin ride Small World while we still waited for Nemo

Collin & Kelsey entertained themselves while we waited for the new fireworks show by fighting wiht the worlds smallest light sabers (tiney glowsticks)

The anticipation is killing me!

It was really fun having Betsy come with us this time... Though I know she was going to be tired the next day at work...
