Aquarium of the Pacific

We have fun tagging along with Collin to all of his field trips - this time we got to go to Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. We even dragged Grandma & Grandpa along this time.
Collin's favorite was the Lorikeets. He got one to land on his arm - and about 20 bites on his fingers
I finally gave in and bought him some food (Mostly for the photo ops :)
Then he became every birds' favorite friend...
He got a little nervous but had a great time.
He met a friend and learned his favorite game - he likes to play with the cup then drop it on the ground - he had Collin trained quickly to always pick it up for him so he could do it again. Everyone who works there was glad so they didn't have to play with him so much This is the after shot - imagine standing there when all these birds suddenly decide they need to be behind you - you just stand still and hope none of them fly into you.
Kelsey just liked playing with the door
Grandma was so nice and let K take pictures of everything - some of them even turned out

Kelsey's so nice to actually pose for me whenever I ask

Cousin Ellie was on the trip too - though we didn't see her to often
Collin and some of his buddies from church
The lady recognized crazy-picture-taking-mom and let me go behind the touch tank to take better pictures of my kids
Collin loves learning about all the sea life
K and the sharks

Shark petting - they feel like sandpaper
Cousin Ellie again - and G'ma, G'pa and Collin petting sharks and rays
We had a fun day - luckily we were able to stay late so we could actually see all the fish instead of just the birds, sharks and playground...

CUTE pics. But watch-out! Someone might say that posing is BAD, and "I taught her that" lol! In any case, she's adorable!

Looks like you guys had a great time. I went there with a 1st grade class I was teaching. It was crazy busy when we went. But we loved it any ways.
